Publishing to Spatial
We recommend Testing your package in your private Sandbox before publishing, so you can quickly ensure it is functioning as expected. Once you have sufficiently tested your package and verified that all looks and functions well, you can go ahead and publish your space.
Once your package is ready to be published, click the Publishing button in the Unity toolbar
This opens the Spatial Portal window’s Config tab. From there, click the Publish button.
Publishing does the following:
- Packages up your project
- Uploads the project to Spatial
- We process that package on our backend, which can take anywhere from 1 to 24 hours
- To update a previously published package, make your changes and republish the package; Spatial uses the assigned SKU to find and update your package
You can check the status of your published package in Spatial Studio
Publishing should be considered expensive, since it requires processing on our side. While we don’t have limits right now on how many times you may publish a package, we may limit this in the future.
